Issues Call for Presentations; Announces That the Alabama GIS Symposium Will Co-locate with the Event
Huntsville AL – The 2008 Rocket City Geospatial Conference will be held November 18-20 at the Huntsville Marriott, and will focus on geographic information system (GIS) and location-based services (LBS) applications developed by organizations, local and state governments from Alabama and surrounding regions. The conference also will see its attendance expand this year, as the 5th Annual Alabama GIS Symposium will be co-located with the event.
“With the expansion this year to include the Alabama GIS Symposium, the Rocket City Conference will become the largest GIS conference in the state and provide a forum to discuss both state and regional issues,” said Joe Francica, Directions Media’s vice publisher and the conference chairman. “The conference is an excellent opportunity to shine a spotlight on the work being done in the southeastern region.”
The Rocket City Geospatial Conference is part of Directions Media’s conference programming, and expects to draw close to 300 professionals.
