Latitude Geographics Releases Geocortex Essentials 1.3 for ArcGIS Server
Geocortex Essentials 1.3 contains major new features for data linking, printing, reporting, workflow modeling and security management.
Victoria, British Columbia—Latitude Geographics has released Geocortex Essentials 1.3, its market leading software for extending ESRI’s ArcGIS Server platform. Version 1.3 includes important new tools to allow GIS professionals to quickly build and deploy focused, feature-rich ArcGIS Server applications that integrate with other information technology systems.
Major new features at 1.3 include: comprehensive data linking (with any ADO.NET data source), flexible reporting and print templates with GIU-driven design options, business workflow integration (driven by Windows Workflow Foundation) and fine-grained authorization/security.
“Along with the major new features, this release of Geocortex Essentials represents a turning point because we’ve gone beyond replicating capabilities towards feature parity with ArcIMS-generation deployments” says Steven Myhill-Jones, President of Latitude Geographics, “we’ve included capabilities that simply weren’t available with the previous generation technology”.
Looking ahead, users can expect a release of Geocortex Essentials compatible with ESRI’s ArcGIS Server 9.3 shortly after the release of 9.3 by ESRI. Thereafter, Latitude will start leveraging 9.3’s additions (e.g. the JavaScript/REST APIs) and other options for overall technology stack performance enhancements.
