Goldsboro, N.C. – Geographic Technologies Group’s (GTG) GIS Manager’s Workshop originally scheduled for May 7 will now take place on Sep. 3, 2008. GTG rescheduled the workshop due to a scheduling conflict with the Washington URISA conference on May 6-7.
“This date change will allow many more GIS and IT professionals to attend the workshop,” said Jessica Horton, Business Development Manager at GTG. “It is important to us that all who want to attend have the opportunity to do so.”
The GIS Manager’s Workshop is ideal for GIS and IT professionals. Topics covered in the workshop include Managing GIS, The Governance of GIS, The Enterprise Implementation of GIS, and The Business Case for GIS, with a focus on local government. Attendees learn how to successfully find the necessary funding for their GIS.
Olympia is just one location in the series of workshops that GTG’s owners, Curt Hinton and David Holdstock, are offering nationwide this year. Other scheduled locations include West Sacramento, California, on July 8.
