Goldsboro, N.C. – Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. (GTG) recently visited Kissimmee, Florida offering their GIS Manager’s Workshop to GIS and IT managers. The Kissimmee workshop was the second in the series of workshops that Curt Hinton and David Holdstock, owners of GTG, will host during the year.
“Curt and David are very knowledgeable in the GIS subject matter, which brings on good discussion,” said Michael Beedie, Utilities Operations Manager at the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and an attendee of the workshop.
Topics covered in the workshop include Managing GIS, The Governance of GIS, The Enterprise Implementation of GIS, and The Business Case for GIS, with a focus on local government. Attendees learn how to successfully find the necessary funding for their GIS.
GTG also plans to hold the workshop in Olympia, Washington on May 7. In addition, a variety of other workshops and training courses will be offered in the near future, including Introduction to ArcGIS I and II, as well as department specific courses.
