GOLDSBORO, N.C. – Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. (GTG) announces the recent addition of Joe Renzetti, Training Center Manager, to their North Carolina corporate office.
A graduate of Northern Illinois University, Joe interned with the Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission until he received a position with the City of Naperville, Illinois. There he gained experience as a GIS Specialist and GIS Coordinator. Joe worked closely with the Naperville Police Department and gained experience using GTG’s Public Safety software.
“My experience of serving the community in Naperville gave me a better understanding of more ways to become involved in GIS,” said Joe. “I was attracted to the Training Center Manager position because I have a desire to serve local governments, and it would allow me to expand my talent in teaching GIS.”
As Training Center Manager, Joe is responsible for the development of courses and training at GTG. He will also assist in project management, as well as support with ArcGIS Server installs.
“Our new training center provides excellent educational opportunities for GIS professionals,” said Curt Hinton, CEO of GTG. “I have complete confidence that Joe will provide outstanding training to all who attend our training center. We are very excited for the future possibilities with Joe as a part of the GTG team.”
Training courses offered at GTG include Introduction to ArcGIS I and II, department specific courses (GIS for Planning, GIS for Crime Analysis, GIS for Hazard Mitigation, etc.) and the popular GIS Manager’s Workshop that is now being offered nationwide.
