Goldsboro, N.C. – Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. (GTG) is offering their GIS Manager’s Workshop in Palm Beach, Florida, on Monday, March 17, 2008.  It will be held at the Vista Center Complex.  This workshop is ideal for GIS Managers and IT Directors.

“This workshop is outstanding,” said Brian Sterling, GIS Manager of the City of La Porte, Texas.  “As a GIS Manager, all of the topics covered are critical to my role in the organization.”

Topics covered in the workshop include Managing GIS, The Governance of GIS, The Enterprise Implementation of GIS, and The Business Case for GIS.  All topics focus on local government. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to learn how to effectively find funding for your GIS.

The GIS Manager’s Workshop was originally created in conjunction with GTG’s grand opening in early December.  The outpour of positive feedback from attendees prompted GTG’s owners, Curt Hinton and David Holdstock, to take the workshop on the road, further benefiting GIS professionals throughout the nation.  Hinton and Holdstock plan on visiting over ten cities throughout the year.  Other scheduled locations include Kissimmee, Florida on February 25; Prince Frederick, Maryland on March 19; and Olympia, Washington on May 7.
