Goldsboro, N.C. – Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. (GTG) has changed their Texas GIS Manager’s Workshop from Missouri City to the City of Pearland.  The difference in distance between the two locations is approximately 20 miles.  The workshop will take place at the City’s Public Works Building.  The workshop is still occurring on January 22, 2008, allowing attendees of the South Central HUG to attend while they are in the area.

“The decision to change locations was made due to an opportunity for additional space,” said Jessica Horton, Business Development Manager of GTG.  “We’re very pleased with how popular this workshop has become, and this additional space will better accommodate our attendees.  We hope this change does not cause a conflict for those who are currently registered.”

The GIS Manager’s Workshop was originally created for GTG’s grand opening in early December.  The outpour of positive feedback prompted GTG’s owners Curt Hinton and David Holdstock to take the workshop on the road, further benefiting GIS professionals throughout the nation.  Hinton and Holdstock plan on visiting over ten cities throughout the year.

Topics covered in the workshop include Managing GIS, The Governance of GIS, The Enterprise Implementation of GIS, and The Business Case for GIS.
