Longview, TX - Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. (GTG) announced today that the City of Corpus Christi, Texas has procured 29 seats of LGViewer with modules for address management (LGaddress) and for Planning/Development Services (Community Maintenance) from GTG’s LG GIS software suite.
LGviewer provides a set of GIS tools in a simple to use desktop application. LGviewer allows for visualization of land management information. Local government professionals have long desired the ability to map and analyze the spatial distribution of all data that is tracked within their data storage. The land management module allows users to assign locations to each land management record. The LGviewer software is designed to leverage data along with existing GIS data to provide a powerful set of tools for visualization and analysis.
LGaddress allows users to maintain address points, pass valuable GIS data to their land database, and ensures a 100% match rate of the land database modules via an intuitive ArcEngine based GIS application. LGaddress is perhaps the most powerful LG product on the market. LGaddress is a bi-directional Geographic Information System (GIS) software application that allows spatial management and update of The Village’s land database through an easy to use GIS interface. LGaddress allows the user to maintain a one-to-one relationship between the LX database and an address point GIS layer. This in turn allows a user to display accurately all data maintained inside all of the land databases.
James Kelt, Regional Manager for GTG, stated, “The City of Corpus Christi has taken the necessary steps to provide a truly enterprise-wide GIS solution for every department using the Land Management Database. The LG products that Corpus Christi has purchased will spatially enable the Land Management Database and give users the ability to seamlessly pass data back and forth from GIS and the associated database modules. This will greatly improve efficiency for every City department and will help provide integration between multiple applications and systems currently being used by the City.”
