The County of San Luis Obispo, California Selects Geographic Technologies Group to develop and design their GIS Implementation Plan

Goldsboro, NC - After a rigorous selection process, the County of San Luis Obispo, California has awarded Geographic Technologies Group, Inc., (GTG) a contract to complete a GIS Strategic Plan.   The plan will outline GIS needs and a three-year strategic plan for GIS implementation in the County.  The GIS enterprise strategic plan will focus on the Return on Investment (ROI) of GIS based technology.  

Joint project managers and owners of GTG, Mr. Curt Hinton and Mr. David Holdstock said, “The County of San Luis Obispo have committed to the development of a multi-year strategic plan that focuses on the business case and return-on-investment of GIS technology.  The needs of all County departments and pertinent external organizations will be analyzed to determine an optimal path for implementing GIS tools in a cost effective manner.  Our team is excited to work with the County.  County staff has shown enthusiasm for GIS and are eagerly anticipating the benefits of the technology.”
