MapInfo CEO Takes Broader Responsibilities; Hickey to Lead MapInfo
In this position, Cattini will provide overall strategic direction for a business segment that Pitney Bowes has built through several acquisitions in the past two years and that generated $145 million in revenue in 2006. The acquisitions included Imagitas, Advertising Audit Services (AAS), PMH, and an interest in Digital Cement. Their capabilities include strategic consulting on customer loyalty; life-event marketing programs; digital asset management for large companies; self-service direct marketing tools for small businesses; and many other marketing services. Many marketing services offerings have a direct mail component that plays to Pitney Bowesbs traditional strength in mailstream technologies.

Cattini most recently served as president and CEO of MapInfo, a leader in location intelligence software that Pitney Bowes acquired earlier this year. During his tenure leading MapInfo, Cattini led the companybs charge into newly-defined vertical markets and revamped the companybs business model to create a more predictable revenue stream. His software industry career began in 1987 with Lotus Development Corp.

Abi-Karam also announced that Michael Hickey, recently MapInfobs chief operating officer, will become president of Pitney Bowes MapInfo. Hickey joined MapInfo in 1995 and had served as chief operating officer since 2002.
