Chief Executive of Wiltshire County Council Speak to talk at Exor Worldwide Conference - ‘One Council’ for Wiltshire makes sense
3 May 2007: Exor Corporation today confirmed Dr. Keith Robison, Chief Executive of Wiltshire County Council, will deliver a presentation at the 2007 Exor Worldwide Conference, 20th & 21st June, Bristol UK. Dr. Robinson will be explaining Wiltshire’s bid to become a Unitary Authority.
His presentation, entitled ‘Why One Council for Wiltshire Makes Sense’, will see him outline the criteria laid down by the Communities and Local Government Department and Wiltshire’s approach in bidding for Unitary status – which will see one Council from five district councils and one County Council.
Rod Beardshall, Director of Engineering at Exor Corporation states: “Dr. Robinson’s presentation will be enlightening and informative on the impact of a move to Unitary status and what effects this will have for the whole of Wiltshire, its citizens and other stakeholders.”

Dr. Robinson joined the Department of Education and Science in 1975, after completing a doctorate in Government at the University of Manchester. From 1981 he worked for the local education authorities in Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire, and Buckinghamshire, before being appointed Chief Education Officer in Wiltshire in 1993.
He was appointed Wiltshire’s Chief Executive in 1996, the year before local government reorganisation in the County.
