European Fuel Prices, April 2007
GfK GeoMarketing has created a map showing the current average fuel prices in Europe for super and diesel fuel. (Graphic: GfK GeoMarketing; Data Source: ADAC, Germany).
At present, fuel prices in Europe are highest in Scandinavia, Turkey and Great Britain. With approximately 1.46 Euro for one litre* of super fuel and 1.35 Euro for diesel fuel, Norway has the highest average fuel prices in Europe.
Great Britain is one of the few countries where diesel fuel is more expensive than super fuel: the difference is about 5 cents on average. The same can be observed in Switzerland, Slovakia, Estonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Albania. In most countries, super fuel is more expensive than diesel fuel.
Fuel is least expensive in Belarus and Russia. In Russia, one litre of super fuel costs only approximately 60 cents, diesel is about 50 cents.
* (One litre is approximately 0.26 gallons in the US and 0.22 gallons in Britain)
