30th March 2007, Cambridge, UK.  1Spatial is pleased to announce Safe Software as a Bronze Sponsor of their inaugural Conference: ‘Fit for Purpose’ (2nd-3rd May at Ordnance Survey Great Britain Business Centre, Southampton, UK).

The 1Spatial Conference, also supported by Oracle, will create a forum for the discussion of the integration of spatial data in enterprise IT architectures and the creation of Spatial Data Infrastructures.  It will be a global platform, an industry-leading event and the first of its kind. The conference allies spatial data processing with mainstream IT issues for the first time in a conference event.  The timing is important as Europe in particular, embarks on initiatives such as INSPIRE and strives to expand the use and sharing of spatial data from legacy GIS into open, accessible spatial data infrastructures.
